FAQs

  • Classical osteopathy is a gentle hands-on approach to healthcare that focuses on restoring the body's natural ability to heal itself by addressing structural and functional imbalances between the soft tissues of the body and the joints’ capacity for motion.

Treatment aims to free up restriction in soft tissues that would otherwise restrict your nerves, arteries, veins and lymphatic structures from restoring health and balance to all the structures of your body.

Over the course of treatments, changes are introduced to your motion capabilities through gentle hands on techniques.

Time is given time between sessions for your body to adapt to these changes.

The subsequent treatment involves assessing the body again, to see what presents itself, given the prior treatment, as well as any events that may have changed your bodys motion capabilities.

  • Osteopathy treats restrictions within the body tissues that limit joint motion and flow of blood, lymph and nerve signals.

  • The first treatment involves a review of health history, a brief conversation about patient and practitioner expectations, and a short introduction to treatment. We will also discuss a treatment plan and decide on future appointment dates.
